Jamur Zoyisa is the fastest growing Zoysia grass we have seen making it an excellent choice for high traffic areas. It has a medium width leaf blade and has a very aggressive lateral growth habit. Jamur grass requires less than 2 pounds of Nitrogen per 1000 square feet annually and is very quick to establish. We think it is the best medium width bladed Zoysia grass on the market. Jamur grass should be maintained at 1-2 inch mowing height with a rotary mower. Jamur grass has excellent drought and shade tolerance.
Mowing Jamur Grass
Mow Jamur grass at 2 inch height during the growing season. Jamur grassis an exceptionally dense turf so to make mowing easier mow before the turf reaches 3″. Practice grasscycling. Grasscycling is simply leaving grass clippings on your lawn. Glass clippings decompose quickly and can provide up to 25 percent of the lawn’s fertilizer needs. If prolonged rain or other factors prevent frequent mowing and clippings are too plentiful to leave on the lawn, they can be collected and used as mulch.
Jamur is ideal for any turf project where you want to be noticed. Jamur is extremely wear and drought tolerant and possesses much better cold, insect and disease tolerances than the older Zoysia varieties. If you are a fan of Zoysia, but you insist on greater quality and characteristics, you will want to be a part of the Jamur revolution.
